FoordeR ("we", "our", "us") operates the FoordeR mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Customers: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Vendors: Business name, email address, password, cuisine type, and stall location (GPS coordinates).
Location Data
- We collect your device's GPS location to show nearby food vendors on the map and to help vendors pin their stall location. Location is only accessed while you are using the App and is not tracked in the background.
Camera and Photos
- Vendors may use the camera to photograph their menu board (for AI-powered menu scanning), their stall (for the map listing), and individual menu items.
- Customers may use the camera to scan QR codes at pickup slots.
- Photos are uploaded to our cloud storage to display within the App.
Order Data
- We store order details including items ordered, quantities, prices, order status, and timestamps to facilitate the ordering and pickup process.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To display nearby vendors and their menus to customers
- To process and track food orders between customers and vendors
- To send order status notifications (e.g., "Your order is ready for pickup")
- To display vendor stall locations and photos on the map
- To improve the App's functionality and user experience
3. How We Share Your Information
- Between customers and vendors: When a customer places an order, the vendor sees the customer's name. When a vendor sets up their stall, customers see the business name, cuisine type, stall photo, and menu.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage. We use OpenAI for menu image scanning (vendor-initiated only). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We implement row-level security policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to see.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order history is retained to provide vendors with earnings records and customers with order receipts. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent for location access at any time via your device settings
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage
- OpenAI — Menu image scanning
- Apple MapKit / Google Maps — Map display and location services
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
